THE SECRET BEHIND GREAT ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Vision is the trademark of any achiever. To explain this in a concise expression will not do that statement proper justice but when you take a country like Nigeria as an example, you will begin see that statement in a proper perspective. There are over 6.6billion people in the world and over 160million people in Nigeria. It has been estimated that Nigeria's population will have grown to about 430million by the year 2050. Out of the present 160million people in Nigeria, it also has been noted that only 20 percent of the populace share in the wealth of the nation. Generally speaking, a look into history has shown that only 30 percent of each generation have there name written in the hall of fame, leaving their impact in the landmark of time. The implication of this fact is that others in such generations have merely existed without anything to remember them by and are soon forgotten.
I put it to you, that the reason why most of the 70percent are not remembered is that they existed in there generation without a VISION. Simply put, vision is the difference between successful people and the failures in life.Life in itself, has no promising future for a man without vision, hence, if you want a promising future(tomorrow), you need a real vision in the present(today).
Creating a Vision begins with God!God created you for a particular purpose. My spiritual father(Pastor Jide Ojo) often say that it is the manufacturer of a product that has the right of nomenclature for what has been created. This is to say that, there was a vision in the mind of God when He was creating you and for you who was created by God to function with ease, you have to discover what was the vision of God for you when you were been formed.Then make such vision your vision. When you understand vision from this point of view, you will understand clearly that the purpose of vision is not necessary for wealth but to accomplish an end. Hence, vision makes you an achiever!
A man who will get the right vision will stop asking questions like what does the future has for me? Rather, his questions would be 'what do I have to offer the future' because in you is a bank of resources waiting to be tapped to impact the future.
Vision is not all about wealth, no! it is something far greater than wealth, it is influence, it is impact. As a matter of fact, many wealthy people are part of the 70 percent that are soon forgotten generation after generation. When the name of past legacies comes to mind, what do you think of, is it there wealth or there impact? Names like Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Edison, Mother Theresa, Myles Munroe and a whole list of others. So if your vision is all about yourself. You will end up living for yourself and soon be forgotten.
Have you ever asked yourself what makes great men great? The answer is in their understanding and application of the concept of vision. The concept of vision entails you having a big overall picture of the kind of future you want to feature in. This is subsequently dependent on how far and how well you can see. Sight is one of the most important necessity for creating a vision.
